A note from David: Pearson MyLab with Knewton Adaptive Learning

This summer was an exciting one for all of us here at Knewton.
Late last year, we announced a strategic partnership with Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, to create a new wave of adaptive education products.
I’m proud to announce that on August 1, we launched the first Pearson MyLab with Knewton Adaptive Learning title. Since then, we’ve rolled out 68 additional titles, in high-stakes subjects including reading, economics, writing, and math.
This partnership is important for a number of reasons. It increases the reach and usage of our core adaptive technology and data analytics capabilities dramatically, giving more students than ever before access to continuously personalized learning experiences.
The data we receive from students and instructors using the platform will help us continue to improve our recommendation engine for both current and future users. Furthermore, with Knewton adaptive learning, Pearson MyLab — already the world’s most successful digital education product — becomes even more effective.
As of today, over 125,000 students at close to 3,000 schools are using Knewton-powered Pearson MyLab products. In a little over a month, the Knewton Adaptive Learning PlatformTM has sent more than one million sets of recommendations to these students.
Our scale is increasing by the day. In the next three months, the number of students on our platform will grow from 125,000 to 650,000, and we'll provide tens of millions more personalized recommendations.
In addition to our partnership with Pearson, we continue to make steady progress on our open platform API, which will allow us to provide our adaptive learning technology to even more people. Stay tuned for future developments on both fronts, and if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
